Important activities/steps taken on behalf of the organization in its developmental history.(1993-2024)

2024

Expansion of operations to 6 more new branches (Total number of branches 161 at the end of June-2024). Construction of PAGE Development Center's own building “PAGE Center” begins. The Governing Council is elected for the next 3 (three) year term 2024-2026.

2023

Operations were further expanded to 34 new branches (total number of branches 155 at the end of June-2023). "Professor Lokman Hakim" served as the Executive Director of PAGE Development Center from its inception till the day before his death on August 10, 2023.

2022

Operations were expanded to 16 new branches and design approvals were obtained for the organization's own building, the “PAGE Center”.

2021

Since the Covid-19, the activities of the organization have been continued with more challenges. With confidence in its own capabilities, a decision was taken to expand the branch and 24 new branches were opened. Initiatives were taken to build the head office on the company's own land. Financing agreements were executed with Pubali Bank, Eastern Bank and IPDC.

2020

Due to covid-19, all operations including loan operations are suspended from 25/03/2020 and operations are resumed on a limited basis from 1st June 2020. On June 18, 2020, Sadar-1 Branch Field Officer Md. Abul Kalam died due to Corona.

2019

Received certificate from New NGO Affairs Bureau. MDP activities were initiated.

2018

25 new branches were sanctioned by PKSF and production of toxin-free vegetables was started.

2017

After 11 long years, the decision to open a new branch was taken. Reformation and Innovation Committee formation. The first agreement was signed with Dhaka Bank and IDLC. Blue Ochard team visited the organization. The company decides to write off the first loan.[ Member-2372, Tk.1,71,74,832/-].

2016

Paravat fee on cattle is abolished.

2015

DD organization of social service office visited.

2014

Loan program products were renamed, small credit insurance program, DIISP (Health Insurance) program and cattle insurance and pervet fee program, wealth program, ICS program, agriculture livestock and fisheries unit were launched.

2013

DPS program, solar power program, energizing program, UP (Risk Fund) creation program for the members of the organization are started as a term savings for the members.

2012

An amendment was brought in the organization organogram and officers/employees welfare fund was introduced.

2011

Instead of 50 weekly installments, 46 installments were introduced and organization automation started.

2010

At the management level, responsibilities are given as managers by bringing about change.

2009

Remittance program was launched through Dhaka Bank to safely deliver money sent from abroad to members.

2008

Executive posts were introduced by revising the organogram. Special agricultural credit program was launched.

2007

The organization has obtained a credit facility certificate from the Microcredit Regulatory Authority.[Certificate No-00561-00657-00028,05/09/2007]. Disaster loan program was started.

2006

The Fees Program was initiated through the organization World Fees Center.

2005

The then MD of PKSF Sir Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed visited the activities of Paige Development Center and as a part of field visit of Sir activities, spent some time in Katabil Gadar Mar slum and inquired about their quality of life. The organization purchased the 30th Century null land on 29/6/2005, situated on the side of Biswa Road, for constructing its own building. Its Khatian No-BS-13 Dag No-BS-348, Document No 3636. As another product along with the loan program, the ultra-poor loan program was started.

2004

PAGE Development Center divides the responsibilities of area managers into area concepts for greater monitoring and supervision of activities. Provident Fund (PF) and Gratuity Fund of the organization were also constituted and introduced.

2003

Anti-Trafficking activities started from this year through ATSEC Bangladesh Chapter.

2002

In order to accelerate the development activities of the members, the organization started seasonal loan program along with the regular loan program. MAC Foundation was formed by the association of organizations involved in microcredit activities.

2001

The company received the certificate [S-2725(138)2002,Dated : 26/10/2001] from the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies.

2000

With the funding of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), the loan program of PAGE Development Center was expanded to Eight branches. Education program starts with DNFPE.

1999

PAGE Development Centre has started the selection test for the recruitment of field level manpower from the month of June.

1998

Chauddagram Area (Chauddagram and Barura Branches) is completely covered under the microcredit program through the financial assistance of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF).

1997

On 1st April, PAGE Development Center entered into partnership with Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and extended a loan of Tk. 1 lakh to the Barura branch on a first pilot basis. Workmen's Provident Fund was started from January. Besides, calculation of LLP and DMF provision account has been started from April this year.

1996

The first loan was received from Bangladesh Bank under the Housing Fund of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Government in January this year. A loan of Tk. 15 lakh was taken from ASHA organization and the management structure was changed and the centers were placed under the supervision of branch managers.

1995

The first loan of Tk. 25 lakh was taken in the month of March by depositing 25% guarantee fund from Janata Bank.

1994

The first microcredit program was started on 01/01/1994. The loan program starts in 50 weekly installments.

1993

On 06/12/1993 registration was taken from Directorate of Social Services in the name PAGE Development Centre.
