Empowering Communities through Pre-Primary Education, Holistic Child Development, and Educational Scholarships
Since 2008, the Education Support Program has been an exceptional initiative dedicated to preventing primary school dropouts and strengthening mainstream primary education in Bangladesh.
- Program Overview & Vision
Sustainable development is impossible without education and knowledge. Grounded in this core belief, the organization launched the Pre-Primary Education Support Program in 2008 to assist government primary education efforts. Preventing dropouts by supporting early primary schooling is a proud milestone for the organization, earning widespread acclaim among underserved and low-income populations.
In urban slum areas, children from lower-income families often face barriers to early education. Pre-Primary Education Support Program implements tailored pre-primary education to remove fear of school and build enthusiasm among young learners before they enroll in formal primary schools.
- Holistic Development & Extra-Curricular Activities
While initial focus was purely academic, the program has expanded into a holistic development framework covering children’s physical and mental growth. Key components include:
- Personal Health & Cleanliness: Teaching basic hygiene practices and personal wellness routine.
- Cultural Programs & Events: Organizing various national and cultural day celebrations to motivate students in learning.
- Moral & Social Etiquette: Instilling values such as respecting parents, elders, and practicing good manners.

To ensure continuous education beyond primary school and support meritorious students from low-income families, the organization provides multiple tiers of scholarships and financial assistance:
- Own Fund Scholarships: A total of BDT 3,57,600 in stipends was awarded from the organization’s internal funds to 163 students studying in Class 5, Class 8, SSC, and HSC levels.
- PKSF Supported Stipends: Supported by PKSF (Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation), a total of BDT 28,32,000 in stipends was distributed to 236 students across SSC and HSC levels.
- Higher Education Scholarships: A monthly scholarship of BDT 5,000 each is provided to 4 university students (03 studying at Comilla University and 01 at Chittagong University), totaling BDT 6,40,000 disbursed to date.

২০০৮ সাল থেকে, শিক্ষা সহায়তা কর্মসূচিটি বাংলাদেশে প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে ঝরে পড়া রোধ এবং মূলধারার প্রাথমিক শিক্ষাকে শক্তিশালী করার জন্য নিবেদিত একটি ব্যতিক্রমি উদ্যোগ হিসেবে কাজ করে আসছে।
১. কর্মসূচির সংক্ষিপ্ত বিবরণ ও ভিশন
শিক্ষা ও জ্ঞান অর্জন ছাড়া টেকসই উন্নয়ন সম্ভব নয়। এই মূল বিশ্বাসে বিশ্বাসী হয়ে, পেইজ সরকারি প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা প্রচেষ্টায় সহায়তা করার জন্য ২০০৮ সালে প্রাক-প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা সহায়তা কর্মসূচি চালু করে। প্রাক-প্রাথমিক শিক্ষার মাধ্যমে ঝরে পড়া রোধ করা পেইজ এর জন্য একটি গর্বের মাইলফলক, যা সুবিধাবঞ্চিত এবং স্বল্প আয়ের মানুষের মধ্যে ব্যাপক প্রশংসিত হয়েছে।
শহুরে বস্তি এলাকায়, নিম্ন আয়ের পরিবারের শিশুরা প্রায়শই প্রাক-প্রাথমিক শিক্ষার সুযোগ থেকে বঞ্চিত হয়। প্রাক-প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা সহায়তা কর্মসূচি শিশুদের আনুষ্ঠানিক প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে ভর্তির আগেই স্কুলভীতি দূর করতে এবং তাদের শেখার প্রতি আগ্রহ গড়ে তুলতে কাস্টমাইজড প্রাক-প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা বাস্তবায়ন করে।
২. সার্বিক বিকাশ ও সহ-পাঠ্যক্রমিক কার্যক্রম
প্রাথমিক লক্ষ্য শুধুমাত্র শিক্ষাগত হলেও, পরবর্তীতে কর্মসূচিটি শিশুদের শারীরিক ও মানসিক বিকাশকে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে একটি সার্বিক বিকাশ কাঠামোতে সম্প্রসারিত করা হয়েছে। এর মূল উপাদানগুলোর মধ্যে রয়েছে:
- ব্যক্তিগত স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিচ্ছন্নতা: মৌলিক স্বাস্থ্যবিধি এবং ব্যক্তিগত সুস্থতার নিয়মাবলী শেখানো।
- সাংস্কৃতিক কর্মসূচি ও অনুষ্ঠান: শিক্ষার্থীদের পড়াশোনায় উৎসাহিত করতে বিভিন্ন জাতীয় ও সাংস্কৃতিক দিবস উদযাপনের আয়োজন করা।
- নৈতিক ও সামাজিক শিষ্টাচার: বাবা-মা, গুরুজনদের সম্মান করা এবং ভালো আচরণ অনুশীলনের মতো মূল্যবোধ জাগিয়ে তোলা।

প্রাথমিক শিক্ষার পর নিরবচ্ছিন্ন শিক্ষা নিশ্চিত করতে এবং নিম্ন আয়ের পরিবারের মেধাভী শিক্ষার্থীদের সহায়তা করার জন্য, সংস্থাটি একাধিক স্তরে বৃত্তি ও আর্থিক সহায়তা প্রদান করে:
- নিজের তহবিলের বৃত্তি: পঞ্চম শ্রেণি, অষ্টম শ্রেণি, এসএসসি এবং এইচএসসি স্তরে অধ্যয়নরত ১৬৩ জন শিক্ষার্থীকে সংস্থার অভ্যন্তরীণ তহবিল থেকে মোট ৩,৫৭,৬০০ টাকা উপবৃত্তি প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
- পিকেএসএফ (PKSF) সমর্থিত উপবৃত্তি: পিকেএসএফ (পল্লী কর্ম-সহায়ক ফাউন্ডেশন)-এর সহায়তায় এসএসসি এবং এইচএসসি স্তরের ২৩৬ জন শিক্ষার্থীকে মোট ২৮,৩২,০০০ টাকা উপবৃত্তি বিতরণ করা হয়েছে।
- উচ্চশিক্ষা বৃত্তি: ০৪ জন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় শিক্ষার্থীকে (০৩ জন কুমিল্লা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে এবং ০১ জন চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে অধ্যয়নরত) প্রতি মাসে ৫,০০০ টাকা করে উচ্চশিক্ষা বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হচ্ছে, যার মাধ্যমে এ পর্যন্ত মোট ৬,৪০,০০০ টাকা প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
